 Salifert Ammonium Test for fresh and sea water
 Ammonia and ammonium should be rapidly converted into nitrite, then into nitrate and finally into gaseous nitrogen by aerobic nitrification.
 If this does not happen, it is either because the aquarium has not yet been properly run in or because the biological balance in the aquarium is disturbed, which can be caused by excessive biological stress on the system.
 The Salifert test set quickly and reliably measures the total content of ammonia and ammonium.
