Salifert Phosphate Test
Salifert Phosphate Test for Fresh & Sea Water
If phosphate is present in too high a concentration, this can lead to increased undesirable algae growth; with a phosphate content of over 0.04 mg/l, the growth of corals and calcareous algae can be reduced by up to 90%.
Rinsing off thawed fish food (one of the largest sources of phosphate) can significantly reduce phosphate input, just as using a high-quality phosphate-free activated carbon filter can reduce phosphate levels to a minimum.
The Salifert phosphate test kit detects the existing phosphate content in less than 5 seconds. The test kit includes two different measuring ranges: a low one for phosphate-phosphorus of 0.01 - 1 mg/l and a medium one for phosphate-phosphorus of 0.02 - 2 mg/l.
Salifert Phosphate Seawater Test
- Color development in less than 5 seconds
- Two concentration ranges are recorded with the same test
- Phosphate is measured in the low range of 0.015 - 1.5 mg/L
- as well as in the middle range of 0.03 - 3 mg/L
- The phosphate content around the coral reefs in the NMW reaches approximately 0.01 to 0.03 mg/L
- The supplied test kit is sufficient for around 60 tests
- Suitable for use in marine and freshwater areas
